THURSDAY- RETURN TO SCHOOL FOR HYBRID INSTRUCTION ELA: Unit 3: Biography. Research. This week, students will submit their Black History Month Project. We used last week to work during class time. Students are responsible for completing their project on their own this week, if necessary. Writing: This week, students will submit their Black History Month Project. Math: Complete 1 round of XtraMath each day. Complete 1 lesson of ZEARN each day. Module 5: Fractions (Lessons 1-3)- Decomposing Fractions Using Tape Diagrams & Number Bonds Science: Unit 2: Soil, Rocks & Landforms (Lesson 8). Read the information, watch the accompanying video and answer the questions on your Soil, Rocks & Landforms slideshow. WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY- WINTER CONFERENCES (Check your email) THURSDAY & FRIDAY- 11AM DISMISSAL ELA: Unit 3: Biography. Research. This week, students will finish working on their prominent African American biography project. Students will use the reading & writing block this week to finalize their project. I encourage you to review their book with them before the final submission date on March 5th. Writing: During Black History Month until the end of the trimester, writing will be infused into social studies. Math: Complete 1 round of XtraMath each day. Complete 1 lesson of ZEARN each day. Module 3: Multiplication & Division. Monday- Summative Study Guide/ Tuesday- Group Review/ Wednesday & Thursday- Complete summative assessment Science: Unit 2: Soil, Rocks & Landforms (Lesson 7). Read the information, watch the accompanying video and answer the questions on your Soil, Rocks & Landforms slideshow. Social Studies: During Black History month, students will be researching a prominent African American in black culture. Students will be creating a book about that person that will be later printed. |
