Natural Disaster Group Project Google Doc Due- Wednesday! ELA: Unit 2: Introduction to Expository Text. Students will analyze nonfiction text with a focus on text structures- Compare & Contrast/ Problem & Solution. Students will finalize their natural disaster writing section on the group Google Doc. Students will be given an extension to December 2nd to complete their group Google Doc. Writing: Unit 2: Students will begin revising the second unit writing project which focuses on persuasive opinion writing. Students will revise their writing with the help of peers. Math: Complete 1 round of XtraMath each day. Complete 1 lesson of ZEARN each day. Module 3: Multiplication & Division (Volume I). Lessons 10-12 (Partial Products, Standard Algorithm, Area Model). Students will take the exit ticket quiz for lessons 7-10 on Tuesday and receive feedback by the end of the week. Social Studies: Unit 1: Government- Lessons 8 (We the People). Days of Priority:
WEDNESDAY-FRIDAY: Thanksgiving Break! ELA: Unit 2: Introduction to Expository Text. Students will review how to analyze nonfiction text structures- description, chronological order, cause & effect, sequence. Students will continue reading about their natural disaster and writing their section on the group Google Doc. Students will be given an extension to December 2nd to complete their group Google Doc. Writing: Unit 2: Students will continue drafting the second unit writing project which focuses on persuasive opinion writing. Students will write their final paragraph using one last reason to support their thesis. Math: Complete 1 round of XtraMath each day. Complete 1 lesson of ZEARN each day. Module 3: Multiplication & Division (Volume I). Lesson 9 (Partial Products & Standard Algorithm). Students will take the exit ticket quiz for lessons 7-9 on Tuesday and receive feedback by the end of the week. Social Studies: Unit 1: Government- Lessons 1-7 (Write a page for your ebook after each lesson). Students should review their "We the People" book for lessons 1-7 so far. This week, we will discuss myths of the first Thanksgiving and the impact of history on modern life. |
